Design Student Handbook
The Design Student Handbook was created in response to a brief that required me to make a booklet that would assist soon-to-be graduate designers with getting into the workforce. The book covers numerous topics, such as creating a portfolio, writing a CV and fifty tips for young graphic designers. For creative purposes, the brief required that the booklet must be designed in the style of an iconic graphic design or art movement, my choice being the fantastic designs of the jazz music label, Blue Note Records.
Taking inspiration from famous album cover artwork by the Blue Note Records label, I was able to emulate the style of graphic design they were producing at the time.
